Craft Beer in BC

With close to 100 craft breweries throughout BC, many with tasting rooms that pour samples, you never have to go far to quench your thirst. Even more impressive than the number of breweries is the quality and diversity of the beers here. You will find everything from traditional ales, to sour beers aged in barrels, to fruit beers brewed with the bounty of a neighbouring orchard. After you spend your day exploring the wilderness or absorbing everything our multi-cultural cities have to offer, kick back and reward yourself with an award-winning local beer.

Craft Beer in Victoria

Victoria was one of the pioneers of craft beer in BC. Spinnakers was the first licensed brew pub in Canada, serving traditional English ales since 1984.  Today there are close to a dozen breweries and brewpubs serving up everything from Belgian style beers to hoppy IPAs made with local hops. Most are located within walking distance of each other around the city’s picturesque Upper Harbour, which allows you to walk between breweries and pubs.
